History of Use: Beloved as one of the most aesthetically beautiful of flowers, the extracts of the wild rose bush have been used for their medicinal properties by a multitude of ancient societies such as the Persians, the Chinese, and the early Native Americans. Rose Hip extracts were used to treat a multitude of ailments such as healing dog bites, muscles cramps, and stomach weakness. Its potential as a cosmetic ingredient was studied and detailed by the 1980s, and it has since become a popular ingredient for its skincare benefits.
